What is it?

The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme is a Government backed incentive, designed to encourage businesses to invest in energy-saving equipment. It is part of their programme to tackle climate change and comprises of three schemes providing enhanced tax relief on equipment that provides environmental benefits. These are:

• energy-saving equipment
• water-efficient equipment
• low carbon dioxide emission cars
